Vibraphone Models, designed for Seattle vibist Ben Thomas, give a clear and rich tone in live and studio situations. Both models, #1 & 2, are made on strong & straight 15.5" rattan. The BT#1 Hard is burgundy, while the BT#2 Medium Hard is Navy. A medium heavy weight core is wrapped with durable wool & nylon yarn to give these mallets a warm sound on vibes, marimba, cymbals, and much more.

As one of the most in-demand mallet percussionists in the Northwest, Dr. Ben Thomas combines an energetic performance technique with an advanced compositional style. His current projects span jazz, tango, salsa, and chamber music. He has three albums of original music on Origin Records and works regularly with Jovino Santos Neto, Barrett Martin, and Tangabrazo. Thomas has a DMA in Percussion Performance from the University of Washington, as well as degrees from the University of Michigan and Swarthmore College.
