New Models

	TMC Michael Crusoe, Artist Signature Series timpani model features a maple and chamois core wrapped with a high quality, steam-pressed wool felt. This staccato mallet is well suited for classical and early romantic period repertoire such as Mozart and Beethoven symphonies. With a range in length from 14.5 to 15.25 inches, this model is smaller in scale, with a clear and balanced staccato sound. Bamboo handles are carefully matched for diameters of ½” to 17/32”, as well as a medium weight. Joints are finely sanded for smoothness and carefully placed for premium balance. Designed and hand-crafted in the USA. Michael Crusoe, is Principal Timpanist of the Seattle Symphony Orchestra. In addition, he also serves as principal timpanist of the Seattle Opera Association and has also served as timpanist with the Mostly Mozart Summer Festival Orchestra at Lincoln Center in New York. Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Washington, he served as percussion instructor at the Waterloo Music Festival in New Jersey and has taught at Seattle Pacific University and Seattle University.
