The Alan Abel signature series comes in three models: BD7AA Double Ended, BD8AA Medium General, & BD9AA Large General. All models are sewn with quality American and German style, 100% wool felts on a unique core. The handle, measuring 17” in length x 1 & 1/16” diameter, is a comfortable size for single mallet playing and will never bend out of shape. Known best for playing that “one” note, these mallets bring out low tones and pack a serious punch.

Bass drum handles on bamboo models are cut to lengths between 16 and 17 inches. Diameters range from 9/16" to 3/4". Pairs are carefully selected for matching diameter, weight, and balance. Joints and skin are lightly sanded for smoothness, but left intact to preserve the bamboo's natural strength.

Metal handles come in heavy 3/4" brass plated steel for models #7-8. 100% German wool felts are precisely split and hand sewn around cores. All models have cartwheel style wraps.
