	BD7AA - the original Alan Abel Double Ended Staccato and Ultra-Staccato bass drum model comes on a 17” chrome plated steel handle. Designed by Philadelphia Orchestra percussionist, Alan Abel, and used for decades to create the legendary “Philly Sound”, the Double Ended Staccato mallet is a heavy weight choice for serious orchestral repertoire. The Alan Abel signature series comes in three models: BD7AA Double Ended, BD8AA Medium General, & BD9AA Large General. All models are sewn with quality American and German style, 100% wool felts on a unique core. The handle, measuring 17” in length x 1 & 1/16” diameter, is a comfortable size for single mallet playing and will never bend out of shape. Known best for playing that “one” note, these mallets bring out low tones and pack a serious punch. Designed and hand-crafted in the USA, using 100% American-made materials.
